Carey attended the 2011 Hollywood Film Awards presented by Starz at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday (October 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 26-year-old actress wore a Bottega Veneta dress and clutch with Ferragamo shoes.

Carey was honored at the event with the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award for her role in Shame.

“This really means a lot because I wasn’t an obvious choice for this part. I begged [director Steve McQueen] for the part,” Carey said during her acceptance speech. “It was the best experience of my life.”

As “Shame” release is coming closer and closer every day, it was time for the official trailer release (thanks to Joana for the heads up)! Captures are also in the gallery but I’ll replace them once I find a HD version of the trailer.

There’s a new poster released for “Shame” showing a sheet. It looks nice and simple but I really hope we’ll get one with Carey in it. The poster will be on display for the first time at the New York Film Festival’s gala red carpet screening of the film.
